Quality of Life
Quality of life, is the standard of health, comfort, and happiness experienced by an individual or group, or place.
Good stress, happens in a short-term burst of motivation, that challenge you to achieve more expansive goals. Good stress can help you accomplish your goals. For example, when you have a project due tomorrow and your really stressed you tend to do better cause you know you have to do well or you’ll fail.
While on the other hand if you have a week till your due date you tend to go easy on yourself, and not worrying so much cause “you still have a week left”.
Good stress also triggers the “flight or fight” in all humans that allows us to learn grow and achieve goals more quickly. Other then helping you accomplish your goals, this type of stress isn’t like the type of damage that long-term periods of negative stress can do.
Bad stress is when your stress levels become more and more negative, good stress transforms into the kind of bad stress that can leave you feeling exhausted, and cause your performance to suffer. Example, when you meet that one deadline, but you realized you’ve got 10 more looming ahead of you. Your stress levels become even more negative.
Goal for 2020
Educational and community based programs play a key role in:
- Preventing disease and injury
- Improving health
- Enhancing quality of life
- home modifications
- adaptive computer devices
- accessible community centers
- recreation programs
- exercise equipment
- therapy programs
The goals are to improve quality of life for the people living in the specific location.
This decreases stress rates cause if the quality of life is high then the stress levels would be low cause then the person wont have to worry about job opportunities or paying bills or anything that parents or kids stress about. It is a big cycle if the quality of life is high then the stress is going to be low. If the quality of life is low then the stress levels are going to be high. And these goals are to increase quality of life, which would lead to lower stress levels.
